No.376 in the snow at Rolvenden – Liam Head
Early 2018 has seen some significant behind the scenes work taking place at both the Norwegian Locomotive Trust and the K&ESR.
The first bit of big news is the development of a new website (which if you are reading this you have already found!). Our Trustees are also in talks about the Centenary events for No.376 during 2018 alongside creating some 376 themed merchandise to celebrate this important anniversary.
The Trust will also actively be recruiting new members and will shortly be launching the 376 Club. To find out more take a look on the 376 Club page in the menu above.
On the K&ESR the recent snowfalls have made No.376 feel at home. However although it looks very pretty the extreme cold spell caused some damage to pipework which has since been repaired by the Locomotive Department.
With the repairs complete the engine worked the first Railway Experience Course of 2018 last week giving the six participants the opportunity to drive the only tender locomotive on the K&ESR. The engine is due to work nearly all of the Railway Experience Days and Footplate Taster dates during 2018.
Keep checking back for the latest developments on the engine, fundraising and membership appeals and details of our Centenary events.
